In 2004, Annika received an MFA in Studio Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago. A year later, the girl took off and went to India for 4 months, where she climbed a mountain, talked to a holy cow, and witnessed the lifecycle of sea-faring vessels. Her dream of becoming a Bollywood star came true by working as an extra in both a poolside music video and a big-budget film, Salaam e Ishq, slated for a Diwali release in October, 2006. Anny loves animals, the ocean, houseplants, yoga, the tarot, Battlestar Gallactica and books. She also enjoys adventures with aloo gobhi and mango pickle, among other deeply satisfying treats.
